Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Lumina Studios! These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lumina Studios website, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the website (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you signify your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, you must not use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lumina Studios. You represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Booking and Payment
To book a studio session at Lumina Studios, you can utilize our online booking system or contact us directly. All bookings are subject to availability. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking and payment.
Payment Methods:
- We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
- Bank transfers may be arranged for larger bookings or corporate clients. Please contact us for details.
- All payments are processed securely.
Payment Schedules:
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Balance: The remaining balance is due no less than 7 days prior to your scheduled booking date.
- Full Payment: For bookings made less than 7 days in advance, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in the cancellation of your booking without notice.
Studio Usage Rules
To ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable environment for all our clients, please observe the following rules:
- No Smoking: Lumina Studios is a strictly non-smoking facility. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping. Designated smoking areas, if available, will be clearly marked.
- Equipment Handling: All studio equipment, including lighting, backdrops, and furniture, must be handled with care. Any damage caused due to negligence or misuse will be charged to the client.
- Capacity Limits: Each studio has a maximum occupancy limit, which must be strictly adhered to for safety and insurance purposes. These limits are posted in each studio and can be found on our website.
- Permitted Activities: Our studios are designed for photography and videography. Any activities that are disruptive, illegal, or pose a safety risk are strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of pyrotechnics, live animals without prior approval, or anything that could damage the studio space.
- Food and Drink: While light refreshments are permitted, please be mindful of spills and stains, especially around backdrops and delicate equipment. Professional catering services can be arranged upon request.
- Cleanliness: Clients are expected to leave the studio in the same condition they found it. Excessive cleaning required due to the client's use will incur additional charges.
- External Vendors: If you plan to bring external vendors (e.g., caterers, stylists), please inform Lumina Studios in advance.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and the studio.
- Cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the booking date will receive a full refund of the balance paid, less the non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the booking date will forfeit 50% of the total booking fee.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the booking date are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling:
- Rescheduling requests made more than 7 days prior to the booking date can be accommodated subject to availability and may incur a small administrative fee.
- Rescheduling requests made less than 7 days prior to the booking date will be treated as a cancellation and may be subject to cancellation fees.
All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email to legal@luminastudios.com.
Liability and Indemnification
Lumina Studios, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained by any person or property while on the premises of Lumina Studios, unless such loss, damage, injury, or death is a direct result of the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Lumina Studios.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumina Studios, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees arising from your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
Clients are responsible for their own insurance coverage for any equipment they bring into the studio or for any liabilities incurred during their booking.
Intellectual Property
Lumina Studios does not claim ownership over any content created by clients within our studios. You retain all rights to the images and videos you produce. However, by using our facilities, you grant Lumina Studios the right to use select images or footage for promotional purposes on our website, social media, and marketing materials, with appropriate credit given to the photographer/videographer if requested. If you do not wish for your work to be featured, please notify us in writing at the time of booking.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes to Terms
Lumina Studios reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. We will endeavor to notify users of significant changes through prominent notices on our website or via email. Your continued use of the Services after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
